"I Got Your Six" is military slang meaning "I’ve got your back" — referring to the 6 o'clock position behind you on a clock face. It has been adopted by the first responder world to convey the idea of having your team's back - on and off the field.
At Boss Co., we’re proud to support the heroes who serve our communities every day—our first responders. firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and other emergency personnel face intense physical and emotional challenges in the line of duty. Many return from their shifts or their careers carrying invisible wounds. That’s where service dogs can make all the difference—and why your support is so important.
Service dogs save lives—just like first responders do.
These highly trained dogs provide critical support to those struggling with PTSD, anxiety, depression, and physical injuries. They offer more than companionship: they help interrupt panic attacks, assist with mobility, and bring comfort during moments of distress. For many first responders, a service dog is a turning point in their recovery and healing.
But service dogs are expensive, and the need is great.
Each dog we train and place can cost between $15,000 and $25,000. Most first responders can’t afford that out-of-pocket, especially when navigating everyday bills or transitioning out of active duty. That’s why we rely on donations—to help cover the costs and ensure these heroes receive the support they need, at little to no cost to them.
Your donation helps us:
With your help, we can give back to those who give everything.
Join us in honoring our heroes.
Donate today—and help change a life.
Let our first responders know you got their 6 too.
Boss Co. extends its sincere gratitude to Red Deer County for their outstanding support and dedication to it's first responders. We are incredibly thankful for the opportunity to train our working dogs in your fire stations—a unique environment that has been instrumental in preparing them for real-world emergency scenarios.
Your ongoing encouragement and inclusion of our dogs in county events, as well as recognizing them as valued members of the community alongside their Protective Services handler, means the world to us. This support has not only strengthened our training program but has also shown the power of teamwork between service animals and emergency responders.
From all of us at Boss Co., thank you for embracing our mission and for helping our dogs become the best they can be.
